International Student Spring Conference 2011

General Information

  • Date: Friday, April 1 - Sunday, April 3 (Must arrive at boat dock in San Pedro by 5:30p on Fri)
  • Cost: $145 with a $30 deposit. Financial aid available – please talk to your staff or contact Eva Liu Glick evaliu@ivstaff.org)

Speaker: Pauline Chen Fong

Pauline was born in Taiwan and moved to the US when she was 12 years old. She spent her teen years in Orange County, CA, and graduated from University of California at Berkeley.

Pauline is currently serving as Associate Regional Director in the Pacific Region with InterVarsity. She started an int'l group at UC Berkeley in the 90's and has enjoyed being a conversation partner for int'l students in the past 15 years.

Pauline is married to Brian and just celebrated their 10th anniversary. They have two children, Caitlyn and Caleb. She is currently working on a master’s degree in Theology from Fuller Seminary and will be graduating at the end of the year. In her “spare” time, Pauline enjoys gourmet cooking, trying new foods, learning about new cultures, singing and dancing with her son and daughter, reading fiction, going on dates with her husband, and having great conversations with friends and people she meets.


The Location - Catalina Island

Catalina Island is 22 miles off the coast of California, which is about an hour and a half by boat. On the island, we will be staying at the Campus By the Sea, a private camp owned by InterVarsity Christian Fellowship. The camp has all the facilities to ensure that you will learn and have fun!

Registration and Payment

Registration & Payment:
There are 2 steps to the registration process. If you only complete one, your space at the conference will not be reserved! You must complete both steps by March 18

  • Payment ($145 with a $30 deposit)

    - check (Write checks to IVCF, w/ “ISM SoCal” on memo line)

  • If you are in Beyond Borders, ICF-SGV, ICF-West, ICF-North, ICF-south, or Fresno ISF, please give your $30 deposit to your staff leader. Others, please mail a check to:
